It's actually kind of cool. Back in the day -1898- Rockyford was settled. Supposedly all the men work hard just "givener" to get everything taken care of. They were without the amenities that would allow a man to shave his face. For about a month and a half.
Every 10 years (ones that end in 8) we celebrate this heritage by having a Trail of 98 Dance. Mid Jan to end of Feb, most men in Rockyford grow beards. Yeah, kind of weird, kind of cool (in a weird way).
I can only imagine what things will get like at a crazy ole party where everyone dresses up like it's 1898. This image isn't 1898, but it's what comes to mind...............
