In an effort to simplify my life, and also in realizing what things really matter, I’ve opted out of the fully connected, always available, email, facebook and internet always at my fingertips lifestyle. Simple Freedom. It’s a beautiful thing. Aahhhhh…

I don't own a cell phone, I don't want to ever own one . . . I hate them.
I admire that. It's highly respectable; even for a Leaf's fan. (still trying to get some hockey smack talk going).
Cool...send me your blackberry!....=-)
Other than a digital camera I don't own any portable electronic devices. I can't stand to be "connected" all the time. It does make me feel like a caveman living in a modern society at times. But that's okay with me.
Being constantly connected isn't so bad as long as people aren't constantly contacting you.
Hey Vik, I probably would, except I've got a few project going right now that use the phone number I have associated with that BB. I've kept the number, and just check messages everyday. That way I only carry my main work cell (which is required).
Doug, less is certainly more.
Cafin8, my problem stems from the very fact that everyone is always trying to get ahold of you. Even certain forums and mailing lists that I like to keep up with, to learn various subjects, I like to be able to do it on my time. What's more, I've found that when people know I have a crackberry, they expect a reply to their emails right away. It's an unwritten loss of personal priority and time.
Cheers.
