My Parent's Farm | Film

From earlier this summer. Expired C-41 B&W shot while testing a 1969 Konica Reflex T that I found and repaired.

Movember | Day 20

Well, 2/3 through my mustache growing season and it's finally starting to fill in. Believe it or not, I sport a one thousand dollar mustache. That's the dollar figure I've raised so far for Movember. Hoping for more, kinda looking forward to an upper lip shave (although the 'stache will always be the manliest patch of face hair). And here's where I hit you up for a donation:{) - see that, that's a mustache smiley;{)

Fernie | Film Photography

From our chill weekend in Fernie. Kodak Portra Professional 400, and the last two images were shot on  Kodak Gold 200 that expired in 2002. I love the colour that comes from film. And with no post production what-so-ever, it's a winner.

if you don't have enough time...

...stop watching TV.

Just one of the great lines in this cool little clip. Worth watching, worth living by. Enjoy:)

My favourite mountain hide away

I'm enjoying a little chill time with the family in Fernie right now. I so love this place. Quiet, peaceful, amazing food, and lots to do. This trip though, we're committing to rest and relaxation. Lot's of lounging, games, TV and hot tubbing.

This was the view I woke up to this morning and felt so grateful to be in a beautiful, warm and cozy condo. Think it's time for a fire and some coffee...

winter showed up yesterday

Looks like we have winter here. -17C and bad driving conditions came yesterday. This is the canal behind our house. It's said that we are going to have a colder winter than usual. Why do I live here again?

Poor Skully

How cute little pup underwent a little surgery. He know where's the classic dog-cone-of-shame. It'll be off soon enough.

Deer season

I'm going to give deer hunting a go this year. I've never done it before, so lots to learn. My boys and I headed out scouting before the season opened(which was officially yesterday in my area) to see if we could find a promising location. I think we did.

I brought along a roll of Kodak Gold 200 with me that expired in 2005. I seriously love shooting expired film.
