Rainy

We just had sod installed in our yard, so I'm not complaining right now.

Wow, what a shot! How is that done? Lucky timing? Fancy equipment? Or some other clever trick?

Hey Christopher. I use an old Canon 20D DSLR, which allows a decent number of pictures per second. This was taken with a pretty decent lense and a high apperature so the light was plentiful and I could have the sutter speed up high enough to maximize the pictures per second capacity of my trusty old camera. Basically I asked my 2nd son, Isaiah, to jump into the puddle for me. Not hard to convince a 2 1/2 year old boy to do that. I think this was his second jump. I adjusted the color and exposue a bit in Lightroom 2.3 but the basic shot is just as it came through the lens of the camera. I have my first attempt at this type of shot on my webiste (jeremygoertz.com) but I like the way this one turned out much better. Practice, practic, practice. Always better with practice.

Cheers.

Well, apparently that method works pretty good for you. I use simple serendipity. Of course, good photos don't happen as often for me.
