My sweet wife bought me some nordic skis for Christmas. I went out tonight for the first time, and it was so fun. I'm sure I look very ungraceful, and I've got to figure out the whole waxing thing, but I am so stoked to be doing a lot more of this!
"Like hiking, but with more flow" that's exactly what it's like.
There does seem to be some cross over from cycling to skiing. You can cover some ground, but not so fast that you don't get to take in the beauty of where you're at. And, it seems to be a decent exploratory tool also.
But this morning, after last nights little outing, I'm feeling it! That's probably a good thing too:)

I've never tried it, but that looks like a very close cousin to my kind of cycling. Like hiking, but with more flow...
